Description
Great shape and heavy piece. 20 inches and about 6-7 inches depth. Henry Clante (1912–1966) was a Danish ceramist and painter who originally worked as a teacher of drawing and shaping at Bagsværd Boarding School. His interest in ceramics was aroused through the teaching of potter Palle Dybdahl. Clante developed a special style that often included reliefs and decorations with animal motifs in bright colors. His works, including bowls and dishes, have been exhibited at renowned exhibitions such as the Artists' Autumn Exhibition (KE) and Charlottenborg.
