We drove one hour to look at a re-painted car, which they claimed no accident. Sure because it was out-of-pocket repair which did not go through carfax. The most interesting part is the shop couldn’t find the key for the car, after we pointed out the painting issue. Thank you Albert.

⚠️ BUYER BEWARE — BMW of Buena Park engages in misleading and shady business practices

On September 20th, 2025, I purchased a 2018 Porsche Cayman 718 from BMW of Buena Park, along with a $3,400 extended warranty. During the sales process, I was explicitly told that I could bring the car to BMW of Buena Park for any issues  “no questions asked.”

I was also assured the vehicle had new front brakes, new tires, a fresh oil change, and new filters. Unfortunately, every one of those claims turned out to be false.

Shortly after the purchase, I took the car to an independent shop I trust for an inspection. They discovered:
•	A coolant leak from the water pump
•	A leaking right rear axle
•	An engine oil leak from the oil pan
•	A rough transmission (PDK) operation under 8 MPH
•	Four active codes when scanned
•	And to top it off, the original factory engine air filter from 2018,  meaning the “new filters” promise was a lie.
The “new brakes and tires”? Also completely untrue.

On September 25th, I returned the vehicle to BMW of Buena Park to have these issues addressed under their “no questions asked” promise.
Four days later, on September 29th, I received a video from a service technician claiming “everything is fine” they had simply cleared the codes and insisted there was nothing wrong with the car.

That was the final red flag. I took my vehicle elsewhere for legitimate repairs.

Then, on October 1st, I returned to BMW of Buena Park to cancel the extended warranty. The sales manager gave me a form and assured me “we’ll take care of everything.” But as expected, that turned out to be another lie.

After contacting the warranty provider EasyCare (APCO Holdings) directly, I was told the dealership gave me the wrong form and failed to submit the required documentation.

As of October 8th, 2025, I’m still waiting for Chao Li from BMW of Buena Park to acknowledge or sign the correct paperwork to terminate my contract.

This dealership’s behavior from false advertising to dishonest communication and deliberate obstruction is not just disappointing, it’s unethical.

Since September 25th, I’ve reached out multiple times to speak with the either the GM or Winston Wei ( sales manager) but they are never around, left several messages to call me back… still waiting. Is that what Automation stands behind?

31 days update: Still waiting to hear from anyone at BMW of Buena Park, the vehicle has been on the shop for 3 weeks and today the first payment is due. Autonation has not approved any work to be done to the vehicle. No loaner, no accommodations, no communication. That’s what you get with the Autonation network.

If you value transparency, integrity, and accountability, avoid BMW of Buena Park or any autonation dealer at all costs.

Purchasing a new BMW from Burna Park, Ca exceeded all my expectations. My salesman Michael Nuygen was professional, informative, kind and considerate to my needs and wants. Highly recommend he be given the opportunity to train incoming sales associates. Jose and Tarik in financing were excellent! Again, informative, answered all my questions and took their time with the financial process. Best experience I’ve ever had purchasing a car! That speaks volumes as I’ve had many cars in my life.

Is top notch! The exterior is stunning, but it pales In comparison to the Excellent customer service that TAI gave me and my daughter. The standard is set very high for every one else now! Tai made buying my daughter’s 2nd BMW one of the funnest, most joyful days!!!  He did everything perfectly!!! If you need a BMW don’t waste your time with another Dealer or salesperson!!!
