Description

Stake Flatbed 1 1/2 ton truck only produced for three years from 1960 to 1962. It’s the size of a 1 ton but heavy duty suspension and drivetrain. It currently has a stake flatbed not original but I do have the complete correct factory stake flatbed to go along with it The engine is running good. Good transmission and differential. Motor : 261 148hp Cylinder Head : 1962 235 motor 848 casting number cylinder head Transmission: New Process 540 OD ( overdrive extremely rare, no adapters in this combination) PTO Hydraulic Clutch Drum Brakes All Around Original Lock Ring Wheels Including Spare Tires 700 - 18 1 - New fuse block 2 - New complete interior wiring 3 - New complete engine wiring 4 - New complete exterior lighting wiring 5 - HEI Ignition upgrade (from davestech net) 6 - New brake shoes all around 7 - New master cylinder 8 - New wheel cylinders 9 - New E-Brake. 10 - New wheel bearings and race’s 11 - New fuel tank Needs tires. It’s still unfinished restoration . I’ve been working on it and I pretty much put it together as is right now. Recently replaced the motor oil pan gasket and Best Gasket Rubber rear main seal. Transmission also has new gaskets and rear seal. Differential cover new gasket. The A/C system still needs work. The Cool Pack and hoses are new never used unit. It will need an A/C compressor. The A/C condenser has been restored it’s original made of copper which is more efficient for heat transfer than aluminum. The receiver dryer needs to be restored, there is an A/C shop that does that. Extremely Rare Vintage from the 1940’s to 1950’s Italmeccanica S. Co. T. Supercharger and Intake Manifold specifically designed for the Chevrolet 235 261 Inline Engines. This Parts alone are worth $15,000 (if you are able to find them) and will boost the motor up significantly and along with the New Process 540-OD the truck can be driven in today’s highway speeds and tow capacity. Horsepower Increase: Likely to bring a stock 261ci engine to approximately 160–180+ horsepower, depending on boost levels and tuning (assuming ~3–5 psi). Torque Increase: Similar to the 1950s-era hot rod conversions, you can expect a substantial increase in low-end torque, likely pushing the engine over 250–270 lb-ft. Swapping a 1956–1962 Chevrolet 235 "848" cylinder head onto a 261 cubic inch engine typically increases the compression ratio by approximately 0.5 to 1.0 points, often bringing the 261 from a low 7.5:1-7.75:1 range up to around 8.25:1–8.5:1. This increase is achieved because the 848 head has smaller combustion chambers (roughly 79 cc) compared to the original 261 head (86 - 91 cc) ACCESSORIES 1 - OEM Rechromed Bumper 2 - OEM Bumper Guards 3 - Aluminum Grille and Light Bezels (hard to find) 4 - 1961 Hood With Chrome Bezels 5 - Cool Pack factory A/C New NOS system (hard to find) 6 - Deluxe Heating System New NOS 7 - Windshield Trim 8 - Factory Windshield Washer 9 - Factory Tachometer Gauge 10 - Factory Vacuum Gauge 11 - Factory Radio and Speaker 12 - Factory Deluxe Knobs (hard to find) 13 - Vintage NOS Yanke turn signal & hazards switch 14 - Unity Spotlights Left (driver) side and Right (passenger) side (original GM Chevrolet factory) 15 - Cab Roof Clearance Marker Lights Correct Year 16 - Stock Interiors vinyl flooring cover.
