Vintage Roland D-550 Synth Module. FULL DISCLOSURE: My brother picked this up when I bought this a few years ago, the seller insisted it was in perfect shape. It does work well, everything is functional. After a few years I started hearing a slight high frequency whine so I opened it up. Apparently the circuit board for the power supply for the lcd display (which is nice and bright) failed and it was repaired by someone with a wall wart. Almost impossible to find another ps board or even the IC that is probably the problem. So I can see that it was a good solution. The problem is a little board with a coil and a IC whines slightly, I secured it more and it whines less. I can hear it slightly if I get close to it. If you're playing it you can't hear it and it doesn't come thru the sound outputs. I have replaced the power cord with a standard IEC grounded cord. Other than what l stated it is in nice condition. All buttons, the volume knob and display work well. It does sound fantastic!
