It’s the V8 4.7 L —-I’ve had this truck since 2011. Been so good to me. I have replaced radiator, water pump, radiator fan, ball joints, shocks, rack and pinion, hood shocks, serpentine belt, front brakes. —-all in the last 3 years. Also, of course, regularly scheduled oil changes. Now there is a growl sound in the rear differential, and I don’t want to mess with that. I believe the rear diff, or some gears in the diff are going out. The cheapest thing to do would be to get a whole new rear end and I just don’t want to do that job, as I have never done it. It runs and drives great because trans and motor are strong but I wouldn’t recommend without getting the rear end figured out. Also I just got a new exhaust and tail pipe put on and the tires are brand new.
