I purchased an 06 Silverado for my son from Lee that he had posted on Facebook Marketplace. I went down to test drive the truck and noticed he had a lot of other desirable vehicles on the lot. Zero pressure, zero bull crap, just a solid truck for a fair price. Purchase was quick and hassle free. Highly recommend Myrick Motors and I will definitely do business with Lee again in the future.

Let me first say I really dislike shopping for a car. New cars are just plain too expensive.  They are horribly overpriced and overvalued.  With that said, I tend to look for preowned cars.  As such I have to say my experience with Myrick Motors in North Phoenix was actually very positive.

I worked with Lee and he was extremely helpful, not pushy and down to earth. I got a great deal on a preowned Ford F-150 that was in excellent condition for the amount of miles it had. Lee let us  test drive it on our own and we wrapped up the transaction after we got back. We drove the truck off the lot within one hour after that.

If you are hesitant about buying a used vehicle, I highly recommend contacting Lee and Myrick Motors if you are looking for decent vehicles at reasonable prices in good condition.

I bought my first diesel truck, 2015 dodge Ram 2500, from Lee. With little to no knowledge of what a deleted truck was. I just knew I didn’t want a deleted truck to avoid troubles with emissions and warranties. My wife and I expressed this to Lee. He assured us it was NOT deleted.
The DEF gauge read 100%. So without looking further we took his word for it.
He told us he had just rebuilt the transmission too and used it as a selling point.
We paid $50,000 for the truck.
A couple years later we get a letter in the mail about an important recall on the truck’s transmission software. We take it to the dealer only to find out I’m not eligible because it is deleted. I was appalled. I was suspicious of it being deleted as I have not had to put DEF in it since I bought it and the gauge was still at 100%. The dealer confirmed my suspicions. I’ve been able to pass emissions twice so I was genuinely confused.

Also, The tune on the transmission was bad since I bought it as the shift points for the 4th and 5th gear were incorrect. It was manageable, but I decided to get it checked out when I brought it in for the recall. Again, They couldn’t work on it because of the delete and recommended I take it back to whoever built the transmission and tuned it.

So I call up Lee and tell him the situation, I tell him how we weren’t aware we bought a deleted truck, no where in the contract does it state this, he denies accountability. Whatever, at this point I just need my truck fixed so he says to call him back after the weekend to schedule an appointment with his tuner.
Life gets busy, I don’t end up scheduling.

A couple weeks later my family and I take our camping trailer out for the first time up to Payson. First time hauling anything with this truck, the transmission blows halfway up the mountain.

30k miles on the “rebuilt transmission” and it fails.
We contact Lee again to take legal action for illegally selling us a deleted truck with a faulty transmission. Denies accountability again, Best he can do is send us to his cheap transmission guy. Same one that botched the first transmission.
No thanks.
We decided to pull out of the legal battle as it would have strained us mentally and financially, and I needed my truck operational.

I paid $9000 to get my transmission replaced, with a 3yr 100,000mi warranty.

The truck runs better than ever, no gear slips, proper shift point timing, and better gas mileage. Pulled my camping trailer up the mountain with ease.

Moral of this story/review:
You can’t trust everything the dealer tells you. They are trying to make a sale.
They’re not your friend
You must Do your research to protect your investment.
If the transmission is rebuilt, pay for the extended warranty. It’s worth the peace of mind.
If it’s a diesel, check to make sure the emissions system is not tampered with so you won’t run into problems at the dealership or emissions.

I do love this truck, and am glad I got it. I’m just salty about being lied to, that is why I’m giving a 1star rating Lee. Even if it’s a “ghost delete” as you said in the email, it’s still a delete, and costed us our eligibility for factory warranty/recall. You should disclose this to your buyers next time
