1956 BMW R69

This is a matching numbers survivor 1956 BMW R69, S/N 652213. This is an early R69, built in 1955, with single-cross wheels and hubs and Eber tail light. It was originally sold by Stan's Cycle Shop in Doylestown, PA. Titled as a 1956, year of sale, instead of model year / year of manufacture. I have owned this bike for the last 21 years. I have no knowledge of its prior mechanical history, so I have to assume that the engine has never been opened up and slingers have never been serviced. The bike starts and runs, but one of the carb floats is cracked and doesn't float, which means it leaks gas all over the place. So it can't run until that's fixed. I have the main key (shown in the photos) but I lost the key to the tank side glove box many years ago. As you can see from the photos, the bike at some point (prior to my ownership) hit the dirt on the right hand side, evident from the rash on the headlight bucket/ears, and right side valve cover. The bike is located in Arcadia, CA and is currently titled and licensed in Montana (where I used to live). Feel free to ask any questions.
