Description
The SD drive that I'm including has close to a thousand dollars worth of content in MPC Expansion Packs, Splice samples, and Native Instruments Expansions - over 65,000 additional kits, instruments, one-shots, loops, templates and demo projects (the pictures only show some of the included packs). Every sound category from vintage drum machines, pianos, keys, synths, orchestral, cinematic... and a good portion of the packs are pretty rare - floppy conversions from the MPC3000 / 2000 XL, and some from the MPC Renaissance era that are now out of print. Guaranteed you'll spend 12 hours straight scrolling for the perfect snare every time you start a new beat 🤣 This unit is in excellent condition cosmetically and mechanically. The encoders still have weight behind them like a new model and there's no real sign of any pad wear. If you have any specific questions or would like more photos/videos don't hesitate to ask. Includes the original box, screen cover, power supply, loaded SD drive, and I'll even throw in the HEAVY-DUTY adjustable Griffin stand. What can I even say other than the OG red and black MPC X is the absolute pinnacle of not just beat making anymore, but of standalone song production overall. Akai has been killing it lately with firmware updates. With the new 3.4 operating system we finally have a proper-ish piano roll, a real song arranger with linear tracking, and disc streaming which saves a ton of system RAM per project (another reason why the MPC X "SE" with its additional 2 whole GB of RAM is kinda just a money grab on Akai's part). This unit is running v3.4 but you can always downgrade to v2.15 if you still prefer the old school MPC look and workflow. The X has a button for almost every function, so if you hate menu diving then this is the MPC you want. The 10" screen looks huge compared to the 7" on the other MPC's but perhaps the most understated feature on the X would be the 16 Q-links, each one having its own OLED display above it. There are several pre-mapped banks filled with parameters, but there's also room to create your own maps via MIDI CC. I love the Live II but because you have to cycle thru the 4 Q-links and there's no immediate display, I never use them. Being able to see in real-time what each knob does and where the parameter is set is a game changer.
