One of a Kind 38.5' Junk Rig Schooner for Sale or Trade - Located in San Diego

HAPPY DUCK ***Located in San Diego*** ***Must be moved immediately upon completion of sale/trade*** ☆ Will consider trade for a 5th Wheel in good+ condition, ready for boondocking -OR- a slide-in for an 8 ft truck bed in good+ condition ☆ Partial trade possible for fat tire e-bike in excellent condition This is a 2005 Bruce Roberts design 36 Spray with junk sails. 38.5' overall length. Steel hull, decks & masts. Extremely reliable inboard Perkins 4108 diesel engine, has never failed to start for me. Canvas in decent condition. Very roomy 11' beam. Small but functional galley with gimbaled stove/oven. Head works. 16 brass porthole windows with screens all around. 2 hatches. 2 anchors with a small 3rd (backup - not hooked up). This is a fantastic boat that has unfortunately been neglected by yours truly for the past couple of years, so she does have some issues. Hull needs a good clean & likely needs zincs replaced by now. She's due for bottom paint (last done by previous owner in 2021, I believe). She has some rust issues. The original builder decided to use stainless steel bolts to secure the rub rails on a steel boat. :/ I haven't seen this for myself, but I have heard from the last person to be on board that the steel deck is also beginning to have rust issues. The house battery is distended & needs to be replaced. She had termites in some of the soft wood areas when I was last there. Thankfully, this does not affect the structural integrity, but needs to be dealt with & is kind of a pain in the patoot. I thoroughly sprayed all of the soft wood last time I was there, but don't know if that solved the issue. The main thing is that I moved away from San Diego & have not been able to get back to check on her for the past couple of years. The hull was cleaned routinely until about 6-9 months ago when I ran into some financial issues & now I simply cannot afford to keep her any longer. She needs someone who will give her the TLC she deserves. She is currently on a mooring ball which is NOT transferable, so she will need to be moved IMMEDIATELY once sale or trade is complete and title is transferred. I am not currently living in San Diego & no longer have a dinghy, so you're on your own as far as getting out to see her.
