Free Johnson 40HP outboard Motor + Thompson Wooden Boat

Old wooden Thompson boat believed to be 17 feet with Johnson outboard 40 hp motor. Boat is dry-rotted in many places and is not float worthy. The hull of the boat would be good for an art project or outdoor project to turn into a bench or anything your mind can think of. The bow of the boat is mostly in tact. The 40HP Johnson motor worked about 10 years ago. I have not tried to start it in years. It has been sitting in the yard for 10 years untouched. All of the components are there including throttle cable and necessary equipment, which is on the boat itself. This offer does not include the trailer and I will not separate the boat from the engine. You must take it all in your trailer or pickup. I am not selling the trailer nor am I giving it away. If you come to pick up the boat, you must load the boat first, then the engine. I am making this very clear. If you misread or misunderstand this post, it is your fault, not mine. I will not give in to “I drove over here, can’t you let me blah, blah, blah” No, I can not hold the boat while you take the engine and come back later for the boat. Sorry, it all must leave at the same time. The boat can be carried in pieces because I believe it is dry rotted and broke in half; but I’m not 100% sure. However, it can be cut in half if needed to put in the back of a pick up. I cannot part with the trailer, nor can I loan it out for use. To be clear, I will not separate the boat from the engine. You must take it all. It is free, I will not pay you to pick it up. I am not interested in your stories of how you can assist me for a small fee. I know how to get rid of it if I want to junk it. It is a my Hope a lover of boats will have an eye for restoring it , or, and artist or restaurant owner may see some value in it. That is why I am choosing to give it away verses selling it or junking it for scrap metal. I will not feel sorry if you have not fully read this post. I have tried to be very clear. There is no paperwork on the boat nor the engine. What you see is what you get. No lookie Lou’s or lookie Jane’s. If you come, please be prepared to leave with everything or nothing.
