This item has never been opened and has been sitting in my basement for several years. Trying to clean my basement out to collect some funds so I can move! Sylvania LongLife item # DE3175 fits 'many' older/newer vehicles and replaces the older front 'map' lights that get dimmer with age. These are great and brighten up the cabin of any vehicle day and night! They don't make bulbs like this that last very long much anymore! When putting in new map/reading/Dome and trunk lights in your car, truck or suv, it brightens everything up, and these last almost the lifetime of the vehicle! They are easy to replace and you only need a long, flat-head screwdriver and a soft, microfiber or shop towel to put over the flat head screwdriver so your plastic light covers don't get scratched! But be cautious, because if the map bulbs are on... they can get pretty hot! These bulbs are a 'warm white' incandescent mini-bulbs and work very well, as I used them in all of my vehicles and they never dimmed after many years of use.
