The first pic is ad example of how it folds since I have no pics when inside (set up )that I can find…second is actual wood ( honey maple color - maple I think?)Love it bc it can fold to a love seat size or open to a queen size . Very sturdy, very well made. I do have a black futon mattress you can have with it if you like.
