We love these stairs but had to order a longer version to fit a new pier. This ladder was always stored out of the water. Brand new mounting bracket included! Does not include four required bolts to be purchased by you based on mounting medium. Mounting instructions included. Aqua-Stairs Boat and Dock Dog Ladders offer a bold new dock and boat stair design, great for dogs and their owners! The Aqua-Stairs are constructed with an offset staircase design, making entry and exit from the water much easier than using a standard swim ladder, particularly for dogs, children and senior citizens. This quality fabricated aluminum dog water ladder will hold up to 500 lbs when mounted securely and properly to the dock, pier or boat structure and can flip up and out of the water while not in use. (Unlike many other thin-walled aluminum marine ladders, the body is sturdy and fully welded for superior performance and weight bearing.) Aqua-Stairs provide deep, roomy steps (8″ deep by 16″ wide) for safer, more comfortable pet (and people!) footing. The Aqua Stairs dog ladder steps are made of textured plate aluminum to prevent slipping and are rolled at the front to eliminate sharp edges. The approx. 35 degree incline allows people and pets to actually stand or sit on these stairs. Aluminum Aqua-Stairs Dock Dog stairs are ideal for floating or fixed docks, piers, seawalls, boat swim platforms, pool decks or any surface with a 90 degree angle. To Determine Appropriate Size: Measure the vertical distance from your mounting surface to the waterline. Be sure to allow for seasonal or tidal variations where appropriate. (For shallow water, you can make allowance for being able to stand on the bottom and size with bottom step either sitting on bottom, or up to 12″ above.) This is a 5 Step Aqua-Stairs - Maximum mounting surface to waterline distance - 36″. Length of unit from deck to bottom step is 60″. Top hand rail is 15″ high from the deck. Unit weight 41 lbs. Overall width - 21″ Vertical Height between each step is 12″. Horizontal extension for each step is approx. 12″. (Example: A 3-step would go down 3 ft and out 3 ft; a 4-step would go down 4 ft and out 4 ft.) The dock ladders have approximately a 35-degree angle. This allows people and pets to actually stand or sit on these stairs.
