Description

The 50 State Quarters Program was a series of commemorative quarters issued by the United States Mint from 1999 to 2008. Each quarter featured a unique design representing one of the 50 U.S. states on its reverse side. The program was authorized by the United States Congress through the 50 States Commemorative Coin Program Act. The 2002 Denver Mint quarters are part of this series, and each coin represents the design selected by the individual state.
