Description

This set of lyre back chairs are in the style of Duncan Phyfe. No makers mark so I have no way of knowing. I DO know that they have done some living 😁 They belonged to a friends grandmother and were in pretty poor shape when I got them. Two of them have no lyres on the backs. I think this would make a lovely dining table set: the King (with arms) and Queen (no arms) chairs and two more simple but still lovely side chairs. The Honduras mahogany is just stunning: deep, dark red, and the lives are graceful and beautiful. The seats have been recovered with a brilliant blue that is set off by the darkness of the wood.
