Mid Century Modern Broyhill Premier Forward 70 Credenza

Mid Century Modern "Forward 70" Broyhill Premier triple walnut credenza dresser. This is an exceedingly rare mid-century modern dresser from Broyhill Premier's 'Forward '70' series. Forward '70 was designed at the advent of the 1960s as a projection of how modern design would evolve over the next decade. It touted itself as 'newer than Scandinavian' and sought to create an open, uncluttered feeling in its design. The dresser is fashioned from a hardwood base overlaid with light-toned walnut. It has a very long rectangular top with ample space for lamps, decorative objects or personal belongings. The front is fitted with three drawers down both the left and right sides. Each drawer is accented with its original slender serpentine brass handle. The center is fitted with two blind doors with raised walnut panels on the fronts. Forward '70 pieces are incredibly difficult to find due to their limited production, and this is one of the finest Broyhill dressers available on the market. This piece is pristine due to its glass top that has protected the wood surface perfectly since its production in the1960s. See photos. Raised on 4 tapering walnut legs with connecting arch support, this mid century modern dresser would be just as attractive in the bedroom, as it would be in the office behind a desk, or under a flat screen in a living room.
