As per 1st Dibs website; Antique Chinese Cast Iron 3 Legged Pagoda Garden Lantern Late 20th Century Water Garden Floral Design Originating in early China, the Pagoda lantern's popularity spread across Asia, appearing in elegant gardens and at temples - fondly named the TORO (灯籠, 灯篭, 灯楼) in Japan and create in a variety of materials from clay to bronze. Design: Panels and knobbed lantern door are designed in iron cast garden water plants ~ vines, 4 petal flower blossoms, Iris like leaves. The panels are topped with cathedral windows and a scalloped bowl at the base of the lantern windows. The top of the lantern is a domed cap designed with the a dense floral design. Hook on top for hanging or carrying. Hand crafted iron pagoda style lantern Hand painted verdigris finishes Removable metal candle dish which has an anchor that holds it in place inside the lantern. The piece is secured together by metal bolts 12 1/2" inches [34.29cm] tall. Add 1" [2.54cm] for top hook. 10" inches [25.4cm] wide.
