The "Anchor Hocking Stars & Bars Milk Glass" bud vase in the image dates back to the 1960s. This is based on the style and production period of milk glass by Anchor Hocking. Anchor Hocking began producing glass in 1905 and became the Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation in 1937. Milk glass, including the "Stars & Bars" pattern, was popular during the mid-20th century. To identify genuine older milk glass (1960s and prior), look for a "ring of fire" when held up to natural light, a halo of iridescent reds, blues, and greens.
