Description

This is a beautiful set of handmade pottery by the artist Joel Knanishu. Joel has been a potter for more than 30 years and lives in Rock Island, IL. He is listed on the website of the Iowa Artisans Gallery as a contributing artist. Most of his pieces are functional. He blends his own clay and works almost exclusively by throwing clay on the wheel. He likes to keep his pottery simple and functional which, as you see, creates a beautiful piece of art. He sometimes teaches pottery and contributes to local art exhibits.
