This beautiful heavy relic Fender Jaguar is now available. This awesome custom started its life as an Olympic White 2007 Fender Classic Player HH (humbucker pickups in both the bridge and neck positions), was stripped down to its bare bones and rebuilt as a full custom, with a set of Fender Pure Vintage '65 pickups. Alder body, C shape maple neck, 9.5" fingerboard radius, super dark real rosewood fretboard, stained amber dots, medium-jumbo nickel silver frets, hand cut bone nut, heavily reliced daphne blue (added a bit of translucent white to knock down the intensity of the blue) nitrocellulose lacquer over a nitro tobacco burst, aged amber neck/headstock (neck finished with a light coat of tung oil), roadworn Kluson style Fender tuners, Switchcraft jack, NOS Sprague Black Beauty oil in paper capacitor, vintage 22ga push back waxed cloth wire, custom configured wiring (Master Volume and Tone and 500k CTS pots in leau of the factory 1 meg, warms up the tone beautifully). Awesome wax potted Fender Pure Vintage pickups, which are wound to precise specifications for that authentic, traditional vintage-correct tone. Most of the hardware is made in USA Fender, and along with the plastics, are properly reliced using professional techniques. Awesome reliced bridge, with brass roller saddles installed, which (along with the polishing of the moving parts of the trem) makes the action of the tremolo system buttery smooth. Schaller locking strap buttons are installed (will swap out with Fender non-locking buttons upon request). This is definitely NOT an amateur ebay kit build, or even your average (but excellent) production model, as all of the custom work, starting from the bare wood, was performed by former Fender Guitars luthier Scott Fleming. This guitar plays beautifully, feels wonderful in hand and "well loved", as if it had been a working artists go to for the last 60 years. The attention to detail is astounding, from the rolled and rounded fretboard edges, the higly polished and dressed frets, the checking in the lacquer finish and the perfectly aged hardware, nothing was overlooked, no corners were cut. Set up with 9-42 D'Addario XL nickel wound strings, making it incredibly easy on the fingers, and bending effortless. A fantastic instrument, super fun to play, with Custom Shop quality and attention to detail. Will come with the original Fender Duel Enforcer humbucking pickups and the adjacent tortoise shell pickguard, the original tune-o-matic style bridge, as well as a road worn Fender Mustang bridge (for someone who might want to swap out the functionality of the roller bridge for something with more of a period correct look). May consider a partial trade for the right bass, classical guitar or machine planer for woodworking.
