I recently bought a vehicle from Bright Star Motors and, while the customer service itself was fine, I had concerns about their sales approach. Everything is sold strictly as-is, no warranty, no returns, which they heavily emphasize. Unfortunately, I needed a car quickly and couldn’t wait for a mechanic’s inspection, since they were gone for the day. During the test drive, I heard a noise I thought was brake-related, but later found out it was actually the wheel bearings.

I purchased the car for $6,500 (they did lower the price by around $500–$800). However, once my mechanic inspected it, I learned the repairs would total over $8,000 including wheel bearings, belts, and a long list of other issues. His first question to me was whether I could return the car, but of course, with Bright Star, that wasn’t an option.

I’m leaving this review low because the process feels predatory vehicles are sold as-is with no real safety checks or options if problems show up right after purchase. While the cars may look nice on the lot, I strongly recommend anyone buying from them take the car to a trusted mechanic first and get a full green light before signing anything. Otherwise, what you see is truly what you get.

This review might change if Bright Star reaches out to me to address the issue or helps cover at least one of the repairs noted by my mechanic but based on how things are presented, I’m not optimistic that will happen.

I came in with a pretty low budget and they were able to help me incredibly. They were very kind and very helpful people. They made sure to be very honest with me, which I find is important when going to a any car lot, and they made sure I was able to leave comfortably within my budget and in an extremely reliable vehicle. Definitely will be recommending this place to others:) thank you so much!
