I’m leery of small dealerships and I read the reviews and hear about the terrible stories. Not the case here. Had a great buying experience with Tai. Super easy going, professional, friendly guy and zero pressure. He took care of a couple minor details and fixes prior to this purchase for my college student kid when he absolutely could have sold the car “as-is.” Got a really good deal on a nice Honda Accord. I’ve bought vehicles from dealerships all over the region, new and used and this was one of the better experiences. I definitely would recommend buying from Tai at GT Auto Sales. Good guy and totally fair to deal with.

Lazy at best. Deceptive at worst.

I found a car listed on Facebook Marketplace and then googled to find GT Auto Sales’ website. It had a clean Carfax and was within my price range. Having worked in auto repair for over 15 years, I arranged and paid for a pre-purchase inspection (PPI) through a local shop before committing. The inspection came back decent, so I sent a $200 deposit to hold the vehicle until I could make the trip from Reno on Saturday.

My husband, our two kids, and I drove 142 miles, 2.5 hours each way, to buy the car. We spotted it immediately in the lot, and our excitement quickly plummeted. First, an 18-inch streak of damage on the driver’s side. Then, a deep dent and a six-inch gouge. Scratches across the hood, stains on every seat, dashboard damage, a ripped driver’s seat and center armrest, a missing chrome trim piece poorly painted silver, and even coffee spills running down the side of the passenger seat. It was a mess.

We still took it for a test drive, but I told my husband I was shocked at the condition. He summed it up, “This car is a piece of shit.” I started to wonder what else hadn’t been disclosed. At that point, I knew I wasn’t buying it.

When we returned, I told Patrick that I was disappointed. I pointed out the damage, stains, and general filth, to which he responded surprised and said, “We had it detailed!” There were literally crumbs in the cupholders.

To their credit, they refunded my deposit without issue, and we left.

Later, I looked back at the photos on their website. Every shot was taken at an angle, out of focus, or in lighting that concealed the damage. This wasn’t just laziness — it felt intentional.

The summary:
•	284 miles round trip
•	$60 in gas
•     $200 pre purchase inspection
•	A full Saturday lost
•	$15 cashier’s check I now have to void

Maybe not all their cars are like this. But if you’re coming from out of town, look very carefully at the photos and ask for close-ups of the body and interior before you commit to anything. Better yet — don’t waste your time.

Tai and Patrick are the best. I blew a piston on my work truck and needed a replacement ASAP so that I could continue working. To be honest, I’m very skeptical about smaller dealerships because of negative past experiences, but I found a truck on their website that suited my needs perfectly so I gave them a call. The truck turned out to be exactly how it was described and runs great. The price tag turned out to be the sweetest part of the entire transaction. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. GT Auto sales may be a small dealership but the people who it own are genuinely good hearted and honest. You can check your fears at the door because they will not price gouge or deceive you just to make a sale. 5 stars!

I consider myself a picky car shopper .  I couldn’t find anything wrong with the truck I looked at yesterday.  GT Auto Sales finds quality vehicles to sell.  Both Tai and Pat were  true professionals who cared about my  specific want list for a vehicle, all with a no pressure sale.  Great feeling leaving with my 2015 Ford F150 XL knowing I purchased a quality truck at a great price.  The sale was quick and easy. Zero buyers remorse.  Would definitely purchase from them again and even recommend them to my family and friends.
