Description
2002 Subaru Forester L for sale. This has been a great car. Great for around town, errands, grocery getter, etc. Plenty of functional, usable space. Tons of clever storage spaces, seats fold flat to make a lot of room for hauling stuff. Roof racks to Mount items to the roof. Interior is in pretty good condition. No tears or rips in any of the upholstery or carpet. Head liner in perfect condition. Steering wheel doesn’t have any wear or damage. Tires still have plenty of tread life. - Manual seats - Upgraded radio head unit, touchscreen with Bluetooth and wireless Apple Car play (I still have the stock head unit) - Backup camera - Power windows - Power mirrors - Power doors. I added an OEM Subaru key fob module so the car now has a key fob - 2 keys, 1 key fob (additional fobs can be purchased on Amazon for less than $30) - A/C works great and blows cold & heater works great and blows hot. - Cruise control - Tilt steering wheel - Alloy wheels - AWD This is an old car, so it does have some known issues that I have been monitoring. The car has 192,000 miles and is 22 years old. Given the age and mileage of the car I think it’s in better condition than other similarly aged cars. The head gaskets have an external oil leak, meaning they leak oil to the outside of the engine. It’s a slow leak and not enough to warrant any worries of running out of oil before the recommended oil change interval. No coolant leaks, no oil leaks internal to the engine. Doesn’t burn oil, no blow by or positive crankcase pressure. The power steering rack and power steering fluid reservoir leak. There is an o-ring between the reservoir and power steering pump that just needs to be replaced. The power steering rack leaks where the lines attach to the rack, so swapping out the lines should fix it, or buying and installing a rack and pinion seal kit. Worst case replacing the whole power steering rack. Brake pads need to be replaced within the next 1000 miles, they are getting thin. That’s all for the known issues. I am happy to discuss and answer all the questions. I am asking for $3500 for this car. I’m not in a hurry to sell. If this post is still up then the car is still available. Cash only!! Clean title, registration is good until March 2025 Thanks.
