Amazon has a couple at $255 A 5 stitch pattern heavy duty machine with 4-step buttonhole and a motor 60% stronger than usual + max speeds much higher than home machines. It has a suction cup base for mounting on tables and a flat-bed instead of a removable bottom piece (usually for sleeves). Unlike almost every used sewing machine you find, any I list are the finest of all with many in same as new condition though 25 - 35 years old! This one has a few very light marks but that is it. New light bulb, the power pedal (original Singer) and the presser foot + needle that is installed. Uses the drop-in + much easier to change smaller plastic bobbins that lay flat, not the older style that load vertically. For sewing several layers of fabric, denim or suede....this is the one you want.  This is a commercial series (the silver color) with upgraded heavy duty parts making it stronger+ faster than home models. The presser foot lifts higher for multi-layer sewing. It has a couple exterior panels of plastic but those are cosmetic parts. They kept it lighter as it is a portable with the folding carry handle on top. Just oiled so its good to go + in ready-to-sew condition. Just add thread and it will last for decades of use with only basic care + minimal service over the years. I sell most machines to those who recently bought a brand new Brother or other Made In China machine which break within a year. You cant repair those so all the fancy lights + digital buttons are worthless. This is a basic machine and all parts you could ever want or need are online + easy to replace.
