The Whirlwind from Genesis Bicycles features a lightweight 6061 aluminum frame, a spring suspension fork to smooth out rough roads and trails, a 21-speed drivetrain with easy-action twist shifters, and a Shimano rear derailleur for tackling hills as well as long, flat sections. Aluminum alloy rims with knobby tires for grip on the trails. Front disc and rear linear pull handbrakes keep your speed under control, while the overstuffed saddle and riser handlebars provide a comfortable and upright riding position. Nothing is adjusted, and at times completely wrong and unsafe. Bearings come from the factory with minimal grease and are almost always over-tightened. So the bike will be unsafe, not function properly, and will fall apart in no time. All this leads to poor customer satisfaction and a bad rep for the bike. But his used bike is better than new from Walmart because it has been fully serviced by a former bike shop technician. All bearings, the headset, bottom bracket, and hubs have new grease installed and adjusted so they function properly. The gears and brakes have been fully adjusted and now function properly. And some new parts and accessories were installed. Updated the kickstand to an aluminum Greenfield kickstand Installed new rear brake pads Removed ugly decals Installed waterbottle cage bosses to the frame along with a water bottle cage, a new water bottle, and head/tail lights (to be installed).
