Full sun in the morning and some afternoon shade, is a good combination for desert roses in Florida, as they can become overheated and sunburnt. -As a succulent, it doesn't need frequent watering; typically, watering every 10 days is sufficient and overwatering can lead to root rot.  -Cactus or succulent soil is an excellent choice for desert rose plants.
