Description

-Desert rose plants thrive in bright, direct sunlight. Ideally, they should receive at least six hours of direct sunlight each day. Full sun in the morning and some afternoon shade, is a good combination for desert roses in Florida, as they can become overheated and sunburnt. -As a succulent, it doesn't need frequent watering; typically, watering every 10 days is sufficient and overwatering can lead to root rot.  -Cactus or succulent soil is an excellent choice for desert rose plants. These mixes are specifically designed for good drainage, which is crucial for preventing root rot, a common issue for desert roses. 
These mixes often contain ingredients like sand, perlite and bark chips, which mimic the sandy and rocky environments where desert roses naturally grow. 
-Pruning can be done year-round to encourage more branching and flower bud development.  -It is sensitive to temperatures below 40 degrees and should be brought indoors, if temperatures go below that
