Pair 1909 Indian Head & Lincoln Wheat Cents -- GREAT KEY DATE COINS!

For sale is a very nice pair of the 1909 Indian Head & Lincoln Wheat Cents. In the middle of 1909 the Mint switched the design of the Cent from the Indian Head Cent to the Lincoln Wheat Cent. The plan was to do this for just one year to commemorate Lincoln's 100th birthday, but the coin was so popular that they decided to make it permanent. This made both coins semi-key dates because they minted so few of both because they each only half of a year's worth of mintage. And in this pair you get one of each! As you can see from the pics the coins are in very good shape, and both would come in at nice VG grades. All letters, date, and images are very bold on the coin. Remnants of every letter in the word LIBERTY on the obverse of the Indian Head are present, which is the first thing to wear off on these coins. Just about all fine lines on the wheat ears are present on the Wheat Cent. Neither coin has any damage or signs of cleaning. This is a decent key date coin pair that can be had at a great price.
