Fantastic experience from start to finish! I needed a car in my budget, with a good history from a dealership that shows pride in their used inventory by taking care of their vehicles. I noticed the competitive pricing, it was a great deal compared to other makes/models of same or similar years for the price, it was hands down the best deal I've found in Northern/Central/Southern California. I called Community Trucks and Vans to get pre-approved, they even held the car for me with a deposit because I was coming from Fresno.  They understood my needs and did this to help me, just wow, that's amazing service. They had the car clean and ready for a test drive upon my arrival, with a full tank too! The vehicle was accurately photographed on their site and was just as described both in the listing and as David explained over the phone; it needed no work. David and Bobbi were wonderful, they helped me get into this car so easily but were so personable, they made drive so worth it; such great people. Disastrous out-of-state van purchase—Do not trust this company or David!
I urge anyone considering a purchase from this company to take the one-star reviews seriously. I made a costly mistake by trusting the owner/salesman, David, to be my eyes on a 2006 cargo van I was buying remotely to avoid rust. David assured me the van was a meticulously maintained one-owner vehicle from a California government agency with only 49,693 miles.
The van that arrived was a complete misrepresentation. It was delivered with the following significant undisclosed issues:
Major front-end damage with bent metal on the frame and bumper.
Multiple shoddy repaints with visible overspray.
Severely dry-rotted tires that are a safety hazard.
A broken A/C compressor, with the entire system non-functional.
Headlight wiring that was poorly spliced and taped together.
A loose dashboard with multiple missing screws.
Completely destroyed weatherstripping/door seals.
When I reached out to David via text to address these serious concerns, he responded with a smiley-face emoji and the text "that is awesome." His contemptuous and unprofessional response is a clear indication of how this company treats its customers.
The van is not worth the $10,995 + $1200 in shipping I paid; it is, in my opinion, worth no more than $3,000. For anyone who is not mechanically inclined or relies on a seller's word, do yourself a favor and buy a local vehicle with rust—you will be much happier than dealing with this dishonest and "very slick" company.
