Jewelry Box Mother of Pearl Relief Geishas with 3 Drawers. Vintage Japanese Lacquer Inlaid Jewelry Box Geisha Figures Red Lined. The lining has scrolling type flowers as far as I can tell. Beautifully done, and the geisha figures look carved from a mother of pearl shell looking material. There are a total of 5 geishas. I can't find a maker's mark. The corners and latches appear to be ornate carved brass. There are also flowers carved into the brass. The box looks great in comparison to the age. No funky smells or stains. A few blemishes just from shelf life and usage. Outside could use a good cleaning.
