Galaxy DX 959 40 Channel AM/SSB Mobile CB Radio AM and SSB operation: Provides both standard AM and long-range Single Sideband (SSB) communication. Large frequency display: Features a five-digit frequency counter and a two-digit channel display with large, easy-to-read blue digits. Multi-function meter: Includes a large, backlit meter with scales for signal strength, power output, modulation, and SWR. Built-in SWR meter: An automatic, easy-to-use SWR meter is built into the radio, eliminating the need for an external meter. Variable controls: Includes variable power output, RF gain, and talkback controls, allowing for fine-tuning of transmission and reception. Noise filtering: Features an Automatic Noise Limiter (ANL) and a Noise Blanker (NB), along with a proprietary Galaxy Noise Filter (GNF) for reducing noise and improving weak signal reception. Clarifier control: A +/- 1.0 KHz receive clarifier allows for more precise tuning of SSB signals. Roger beep: An end-of-transmission tone that can be turned on or off. Public Address (PA) capability: Can be used as a public address system with an external speaker. StarLite faceplate: The DX 959B model features a backlit StarLite faceplate with blue LED lighting for enhanced visibility.
