This is the 1st gen. And I like the 1st gen better because when it dies you just put new batteries in it. Instead of having to wait for it to charge. It automatically turns off so a set of batteries will last a few years. You can use the same gestures with you fingers as your cell phone pretty much to control you computer screen. Works with Apple, windows, android and pretty much any tablets, also with amazon fire sticks, Apple Tvs and streaming devices and smart Tvs with Bluetooth. It will also work with projectors that have Bluetooth. It will also work with some cell phones. On your tablet or cell phone it will just bring up a a mouse pointer on the screen. Very handy mouse to have.
