Merach exercisea well-known and trusted brand. This is a quiet machine that has three different speeds, walking, jogging, and running. I don't have the remote, It DOES work without it. It is $13 f or the remote on Amazon. I bought it for my daughter, who used it twice before we found out it could cause complications with her rare genetic disability. She was very disappointed because she liked it very much
