The 2013 1/10 Australian Gold War in the Pacific Coin commemorates the United States’ collaboration with Australia to turn back the Japanese during World War II. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States was all in on turning back the Japanese war machine and with Australia’s help, they were victorious. This coin has a beautiful design rendered in .9999 fine gold to celebrate this great alliance.   Key features:   * Made of 1/10 Troy ounce of .9999 fine gold * The obverse side has the image of Queen Elizabeth II * Reverse side has a stylized eagle and the flags of Australia and the United States in the background   During World War II, Australia was fighting with the British against the Axis powers but it wasn’t until after the attack on Pearl Harbor that the United States joined the fray. Australia and the United States teamed up to strike back and were eventually victorious against the Japanese. The reverse side of the coin’s design celebrates this great alliance between these two countries. In the forefront is a stylized eagle.
