Description
I purchased these almost 2 months ago, as I had the intention of installing much larger motors onto my deck swapped & heavily modded Zealot, as I wanted to place the backfire Hammer/Sledge 6370 much larger motors onto the Zealot Deck Swapped/modded board that I put together. Due to the fact that I’d modded the heck out of of the Zealot already, as well as the fact that I recently picked up a Kaly NYC E-Skate, I ultimately decided that I’d rather just sell these to someone who wants them, or someone who is looking to take on a project of their own,& build their own custom E-Skate. Please see the photo where I lined the truck up next to the original Backfire Zealot Caliber 2 styled Truck, as these are much wider, & allow for much better stability at high speeds,,& also can accommodate motors up to dual 6374’s ,& I specifically liked these bc they are made just like the Zealot’s Trucks are made, where the motors are hidden, & out of the way, as the motors are mounted to the two motor brackets (included, along w/the 2 bags of hardware,& even extra hardware that I’ve tossed into this deal), & they are made to mount the motors below the deck, & in front of the rear truck, & not out the back of the board ; such I felt allowed for a much cooler design, as in certain areas having any motors visible is an instant ticket,& I’ve also going that in having the motors mounted in front of the tread truck, it provides for an extra layer of protection for yr motors, from bumps,& dings,& whatnot…especially when one is jumping over items , or trying to clear bad patches of road,& sidewalk. I purchased these so that one can Essentially build a board that looks extremely similar to the Zealot, but also can have motors that are 2X more powerful,& much larger as they will allow a max of dual 6374’s to be mounted below the deck, in front of the rear truck; just like the Zealot’s motors are; yet the zealot only has 750-850 water per motor,& I liked the fact that the Backfire Hammer Sledge has dual 1500 watt 6370 motors; but I didn’t lien the fact that backfire made their 9 pin motor connectors rather hard to determine the size of, as one would need to buy just the “internal ESC unit for the Hammer/Sledge; which is a lot cheaper than buying the Backfire Hammer/Sledge’s entire ESC box in the end. I bought these bc one can build a board that looks almost identical to the way that the Zealot looks ; yet they can cancel all the extra. Power that they might hade hooked up under the deck this way,& these trucks are extremely compatible w/the Backfire Zealot, & also the Hammsr/Sledge; but the 9 pin ESC to Motor connectors on the Zealot are a tad smaller in contract to the Hammer/Sledge, so in order to work around that, one needs to buy that Hammer Skedfe ESC module that is w/out it’s own enclosure (as long as you have a backfire, or some other form of battery/ESC ir VESC enclosure, in order to put that Backfire Hammer (larger 9 pin ESC to Motor connectors within, as this was exactly what I’d planned to do, but the Backfire Hammer Sledge motors arrived all scratched,& it totally took out any enjoyment I had right then & there, so I returned the motors to Backfire ,& also found out that although Backfire claim that the Hammer/Sledge (2x more powerful,& rated at 1500 watt per motor) could fit & work with the 2021 Zealots 9 pin latest ESC ; they were wrong, as the Hammer/Sledge motors require that one purchase the ESC module only,& not the enclosure ; unless such is needed on your end. So in the end, although both Zealot,& Hammer are at the same amp output, what one needs to do is simply purchase the non-enclosed/inhoused ESC that is made for the 2WD Hammer/Sledge,& then theu can just swap that ESC out with whatever lies inside your current ESC enclosure, making such a fairly simple fix; but I lacked the energy to do the built; in the end. -As you can see; these Extended Trucks come with 2 baggies that hold all the screws & required mounting hardware required),& these Extended Trucks are made to hold the motors under the deck, not out back of the board ); which I rent to prefer, esp. when I’m always jumping over objects & what not. These cost me $124 out the door with taxes & shipping , & instead of returning them,& losing 15% for a “restocking fee”, I’d prefer to just sell them to someone who may be interested in buying them & building their own setup! These have not ever been mounted to a single item,& not one single metal part has touched another part at all,& all that is in req’d to mount motors to these trucks is included. These don’t have a single mark on them,& are brand new,&Isimply haven’t mounted em at all, nor used them for anything at all,as I simply lost interest in another build after getting the Kaly. Pls contact me with any ?’s about any of this, as I will gladly provide all the info to help you out,& do my best to advise you in what you may need to purchase, in order to construct a sick ass board!!
