2008 Kawasaki Versys 650

Hello, and thank you for checking out my bike. I’ve written a detailed description here so you know everything there is to know about this bike. If it’s listed, it’s for sale, firm on price, M-class and cash in hand, etc. This is a 2008 Kawasaki Versys (KLE 650) with just under 13,000 miles. It’s in excellent condition, as you would expect for something with low mileage. It comes with Givi locking side cases and a custom milled aluminum luggage rack. I also added a pair of LED fog lights, and replaced the factory rear turn signals with LED pieces because the rubber was falling apart when I bought it from a nice guy in Downers Grove. I reupholstered the seat with a really nice cover that not only looks sharp but doesn’t let you slide around accidentally. The mirrors have been upgraded to some more stylish ones formerly off my father in law’s BMW F800 GSA - they extend out slightly wider than stock (which will come with the bike as well) so you don’t have to twist at all to see directly behind you, and they’re rock solid. I also replaced the factory windshield with this custom flyscreen to reduce wind buffeting to my helmet, but if you prefer, I can reinstall the factory windshield for you - should only take 15-20 minutes. High/low beams and running lights have been upgraded to bright white LED and really shine at night. I don’t know if the handguards that were on it when I bought it were stock, but they were cheap plastic, so I upgraded those to real brush guards with a metal frame and built in LED marker lights. I wired those to the auxiliary light switch I mounted to the left bar - it turns on the markers (front and rear) and the fogs. There is a hardwired 12V socket with a USB charger underneath the seat. I tuck my phone in the compartment under there when it needs charging, which keeps it safe, out of the weather and keeps you free of wire clutter. All routine maintenance has been done annually - fresh Mobil 1 and filter, cleaning, lubing and tensioning the chain, tire pressure checks. Over winter I keep the battery in my garage on a tender, the tires resting on a few layers of cardboard to prevent flat spots, and the bike sits indoors under a cover. The Metzeler Roadtec Z8 tires were mounted summer of ‘22 and have about 2000 miles on them - tons of riding left in them and they hold air great as you’d expect. I’m selling it simply because I’m ready to move on to a new experience. It’s a great bike - very comfortable riding position, great engine with as much low end torque as high end power, strong brakes and great handling. There is nothing wrong with it, I just want to try a new style. I know you’ll love it as much as I have. It comes with everything you see in the pictures except the Chubby Buttons and the Beeline mount, which I plan to put on the next bike.
