Description

Wow, new and still in original plastic, after 25 years! An authentic 1997 California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation Lifetime Member plaque and license plate frame. As you can see, the frame has never been placed on a vehicle, looks new like the day it was presented. Beautiful Silver Frame with Los Angeles Rams Yellow lettering on a Navy Blue Background. Today's foundation plate frames don't feature these vibrant colors. Also, the frame (1997) predates any lettering being placed on the inside (property of) which is common on todays member plate frames. The plaque is nicely done on a wooden base. The California Highway Patrol Foundation emblem is molded and painted gold any navy blue. I believe today's plaques have a sticker on a wood backing. There's a few nicks on the plaque piece and the brass used to show appreciation to the lifetime member is showing wear. It was presented by CHP Commisioner Spike Helmick in December 1997. The owner was a 33rd degree freemason (name is on plaque) who was a strong supporter of military (he was also a US veteran), law enforcement, and childrens health services. This came my way vis his estate. A true and authentic classic historical find! Cash only on this one, no exceptions. Local pickup in Venice, Marina del Rey.
