This is an original Stars and Stripes newspaper from Sunday March 11, 1945 Vol 1, No. 227 features “Bridgehead Battle Open”. The Newspaper belonged to my father who served in the war. It is a unique piece of history that captures the excitement and tension of the era. The newspaper features news stories and advertisements from the era and provides a glimpse into what life was like during that time.
