Up for your consideration & buying pleasure is an awesome 1940s Aluminum ‘War Time’—Cloud Badge, “New Super Krupa” Slingerland “Radio King“ Snare Drum. No extra holes or modifications. A very desirable Slingerland Model, this early RK has the New Super Krupa - “Clam Shell” strainer with Slingerland RK Extended Snare Wires. This snare has a Solid Black Duco patina. There is wear in the Black Lacquer Painted finish associated with playing and age. This finish has been touched up and repainted in certain areas of this shell. Many collectors refer to this snare as the “Clam Shell”. The 40s Slingerland’s Catalog describes this snare as the New “Super Krupa Model.” This snare has the 7x14” Solid 1-Ply Maple Shell with the renown Super Krupa - “Clam Shell” strainer design, Extended Snare wires.
