Description

Peanut obsidian from Arizona. Peanut obsidian is formed during volcanic lava flow when hematite or felspar droplets fall into the perlite lava flow and cool as polkadots. Basically all the peanut obsidian you’ll find on the market comes from just a few sites in Mexico. Originally I thought it would be a geode as I found it in AZ, but had a pleasant surprise with the polkadots. Selling the rough and showing what one of the finished cuts looked like in that first photo. Smaller ones would be good for cabs. $30 per lb. For reference mid sized ones are just under 1 lb.
