Description
VERIFIED STERLING SILVER BY REPUTABLE DENVER JEWELER. WAS TOLD NOT TO CLEAN IT. Measurements of Silver: About 2 1/2" TALL About 1 1/2" ACROSS TOP Turquoise Stone About 1" x 1 1/4" Classic Southwestern style, with large, freeform turquoise stone set in a ribbed bezel and surrounded by a traditional twisted wire border. Scalloped edges with radiating stampwork, a hallmark of Navajo silversmithing, which emphasizes the central stone. Sterling silver displays a vintage patina, which is common in older, authentic Native American pieces and adds to its' character. Natural, cabochon-cut turquoise stone with striking blue-green color and a matrix (veining). Back features a standard "Bennett" locking clasp mechanism, which was a common feature on bolo ties from about 1951 to 1961. Has been in my Dad's jewelry box for decades. It's really pretty!
