Vtg.1950s Viennese Modernist Dining Room Wood Furniture Cabinet + Buffet / Sideboard

This Viennese modernist dining room ensemble, consisting of two pieces, was purchased in 1950. Includes: 1. Buffet measuring approximately 41 1/2” wide x 18” deep x 33 1/2” tall. Has 2 interior sections with the top area measuring 10” tall and the bottom measuring 9 1/4” tall. The dividing shelf is permanent. Includes 2 sliding glass doors with notched finger-pulls. Pull out drawer with two handles. 2. Cabinet measuring approximately 30” wide x 14” deep x 59 1/2” tall. The top, with two sliding glass doors on sliding tracks, is divided into 3 sections by 2 permanent shelves. The top and middle sections measure 9” tall. The lower section measures 10” tall. Pull out drawer with two handles. The cabinet features two doors at the bottom which open to a large area that is 13 1/2” tall. The doors feature lightly incised straight-line decor. Both pieces are constructed from wood that has been stained black with white grain / distressed details. Interiors are canary yellow. The brushed metal square-shaped hardware is original. Their geometrical shape is indicative of the time period. Unbranded. This style is noted for having no extra embellishments on their facades - just a minimalist and highly functional look. They have timeless appeal. Perfect to use in the dining room for displaying kitchenware or in any room to address your storage needs. These pieces are in excellent condition.
