Purpose: The distant relative of the classic Mini-Simmons model, The Cloud isn’t really like any other board in our lineup. It’s short and packs a lot of volume similar to the Bean for easy float and paddle, while also still having a high performance mindset through the tail. It was designed to glide flawlessly in small surf, and to handle itself in overhead waves if you’re open for the challenge. With minor tail flip, added hip, squared off rails and a chop tail, this board pays homage to the classic design while still offering a loose skatey feel with all of the fun. You’ll learn quickly when riding the Cloud that it’s much more sensitive to your back foot with generating speed, and with a wider nose than the Bean, it has enough surface area to creep up and hang five. Designed For: Intermediate to Advanced Surfers Sweet Spot: It can handle various types of beach breaks, but will show its true colors in reefs and point breaks. If it’s 2-8ft… she’ll go, but send ‘er out in 3-4 and she’ll truly elevate your game
