Mid Century Modern 1950 French provincial Tall Chest Solid Wood Dresser

United Furniture Corporation tall chest from the early–mid 1950s, in what’s often called a “French Provincial” or transitional style. A couple things stand out: Serpentine front drawers (the wavy curve) — this was a hallmark of more decorative mid-century pieces, not the straight-lined “Danish modern” look. Carved vertical trim along the sides — adds a touch of formality, which makes it fit into both traditional and mid-century interiors. Original brass pulls — still intact, which collectors like to see.
