Description
Good vintage condition. There is one tiny flea-bite chip on the edge of the raised hand (please see macro photo for detail). No other cracks, repairs, or losses observed. ⸻ Description Vintage Chinese carved jade (stone) figure depicting Xi’er, the heroine from The White-Haired Girl ballet, a well-known subject in mid-20th-century Chinese revolutionary art. The figure is carved in pale green translucent stone with fine detailing to the facial features, hair, and flowing costume. Xi’er is shown in a dynamic, triumphant pose, characteristic of Cultural Revolution–era sculptural works. Base Includes the original decorative base. Please note: • Material: The base appears to be carved wood, designed to resemble dark rosewood. • Configuration: The base features three additional carved indentations that originally held companion figures. This listing is for the Xi’er figure only. She fits securely in her designated slot, and the piece displays beautifully as a standalone work.
