I have fresh eggs for sale $6.00 a dozen with the egg cartoon included. My hens lay big brown eggs (so big it’s hard to close the carton), blue eggs and white eggs. My chickens are fed 16% layer feed crumbles with cracked corn. Fresh treats such as lettuce and tomatoes daily. Their egg yolk is an orange color which indicates my hen's diet is high in carotenoids. Darker yolks can have a richer taste. All eggs are collected daily and marked when laid on the cartoon, eggs are not kept in the fridge and they are not washed until day of purchase thats when you’ll rinse and refrigerate them. Since eggs have a natural protective coating called a cuticle that prevents bacteria from entering the shell. 🥚
