Description

Here is a gem that dates back to the 'Old West'! A true genuine pair of wooly chaps that were created by the "Vanco" company out of Sacramento, California. The well renowned family of A. A. Vanvoorhies was one of the leading competitors in chaps, bits, spurs, saddles, and much more back in the late 1880's and continuing through into the early 1900's expanded business exponentially creating an over 300 item catalog of materials that they could supply and outfit any person's who required them! In 1920 Vanvoorhies then changing the name of the "Vanvoorhies Co." After partnering up with Phinney, to what will be known as "Vanco" for the rest of their existence up until the final closing of the business in the 1980's. In auction and around collectors circles these authentic wooly chaps tend to go for an average of $3,700.... sometimes reaching a high of $7,000 and even a low of merely $1,800 depending upon quality, durability, and other such factors. I probably won't get them sold on here but I figured I would make a post for them while I take the tedious time finding and working with an old west collector's and auction house out of state.
