Description
Please read everything below, including clicking on “See more”. ***The Madagascar Palm (Pachypodium Lamerei) is a succulent plant native to Madagascar. Despite its name, it’s not a true palm but belongs to the Apocynaceae family. It has the narrow green leaves that grow in a rosette at the top, resembling a palm tree. Key Features: • Grayish trunk (sometimes covered in sharp spines) • Long, slender leaves concentrated at the top • White, fragrant flowers (rarely seen indoors) • Drought-tolerant and easy to care for Growing Conditions: • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light or full sun • Watering: Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings • Soil: Well-draining cactus or succulent mix. The Madagascar Palm prefers warm temperatures and does not tolerate frost. Here are its ideal temperature conditions: • Optimal Temperature: 20–30°C (68–86°F) • Minimum Tolerance: 10°C (50°F) – Below this, it may suffer damage. • Cold Sensitivity: If exposed to temperatures below 5°C (41°F), it can experience stress, leaf drop, or even die. • Winter Care: Keep indoors or in a greenhouse if temperatures drop too low. If you’re growing it outdoors, bring it inside when temperatures approach 10°C (50°F). Last picture show the Madagascar Palm in the future...
