THIS SYSTEM IS REGION FREE, so even though it is from Japan everything on the menus in the system is in English, but yet it plays both Japanese and American PlayStation 2 games. Please understand that since the system is region free, it will only play PlayStation 2 games! Not PlayStation 1 games. The system does have some surface scratches on it, and wear on the backside of the controller but everything works perfectly fine with no issues and the system is actually spotless when it comes to dust, everything has been 100% cleaned out. It runs so good that when you turn it on, you can’t even tell it’s on, it’s that quiet.
