Spider plants can tolerate most light conditions, but they prefer bright, indirect light. Avoid placing them in direct sunlight. 
Water
Water spider plants regularly, but allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. In the spring and summer, water about once a week, and in the winter, water less frequently. You can check if the plant needs water by sticking your finger into the soil up to the second knuckle. If your finger comes out dry, it's time to water. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. 
Temperature
