Description

Included with kayak: - MK trolling motor - 12V 100AH battery - TM replacement prop - Upgraded rails and hatch covers - Extra hardware *will post pictures of trolling motor/drive this weekend* Fishing kayak powered by trolling motor with full hands-free control. The kayak is fully wired with lights (nav, bow, rear, and internal lights) and has a rocker switch for easy control of them. The Predator MK is stored completely out of the sun in a garage. It is 13 ft 2 inches long and has tons of deck space. It also has plenty of room for storage under the seat, in the rear area, and in the full. The rudder is metal and is super tough. It swings up so it is protected when not in use. The kayak handles super well in rough and windy conditions, and is super stable. The hull is in good condition, but does have visible use and some long scratches on it from the previous owner (see footnote). It has a BerleyPro keel guard on it. The seat is in great condition and has a storage spot on the back of it. The Minn Kota trolling motor is also in good condition, but has some slight wear on the bottom near the base. The kickstand of the trolling motor also has slight trouble kicking out directly into a standing/locking position. The trolling motor works as it should and I have not had any issues with it running. Maintenance and Care: I clean the kayak frequently (after every couple trips or sooner if I fished dirty water) and always apply 303 Protectant after cleaning in order to protect and maintain the plastic. I also take the prop off after every trip and make sure no gunk or fishing line is stuck in it. Similarly, I open the front hatch to make sure no water has found its way into the hull. Dielectric grease is frequently applied to the ports. Important Note: I am the second owner of this kayak. The previous owner only took it out a handful of times, but did make a few big modifications. He had mounted a small transducer on the rudder, and ran the wire along the hull up to the front of the kayak. Along with this, he put screws with wire holders all along it to hold the wire in place. I immediately removed the transducer and as much of the mount as I could from the rudder (see pics). I then put rubber washers withe screws in order to ensure no water could get in to the hull from around the screw holes. I have had no issues. The previous owner also put an anchor trolley along the side of the kayak, and he unfortunately misplaced a screw so there was a blank/open hole. I filled this with marine goop. There were two other spots on the top of the kayak where a similar thing happened and I similarly filled these with marine goop. The previous owner also added metal/foam rod holders towards the bow of the kayak. I do not use them as rod holders, but they do make a good holder for a paddle with quick access. In the year-and-a-half that I have run this kayak, these things have posed zero issues and have not shown to be anything to worry about. I am more than happy to answer any questions regarding the kayak. *TRAILER NOT INCLUDED*
